I loved this yarn, Red Heart Amore TLC and decided to make a simple double crochet blanket to emphasize the texture and color. Each bold stripe used one skein of yarn.

Here’s the close up:

This blanket is amazingly warm and soft. I used Caron Simply soft in light blue, navy, black, gray and white. It took a long time to complete but I’m pleased with the results. Another great lap blanket for the War Veteran’s Home.

Here’s a close-up of the stitches.

I found this new pattern for a Wheelchair Wrap while surfing the net for patterns. I believe it was posted on Favecrafts. It works up very quickly and easily. It only uses 12 ounces of worsted weight yarn and is all double crochet and V stitches. I plan to experiment with some double crochet patterning (post stitches, front loop, etc.) For this one I used Caron Simply Soft in two colors to add interest. This is another project I will donate to the Louisiana War Veteran’s Home, along with the lap blankets.

I’m very excited by this pattern!

I’ve been busy crocheting, just haven’t managed to take pictures and get them posted:) This is is another Waffle stitch blanket. I used Red Heart Amore TLC yarn in Seagrass and Black. I held one strand of each together and used a size N hook. It’s hard to see the texture in the photos, but it’s very fluffy and warm.

Here’s an attempt at a close up of the stitches:

I made this purse as a Christmas gift for a friend. I purchased the cutwork at a local craft fair from a very sweet Hmong lady who had a beautiful assortment. The pattern is the traditional elephant’s foot. I added it to a medium weight black linen fabric, lined with a cotton/poly blend with two small pockets.

This purse is only about 2 inches wide, 6 inches long and 9 inches deep. I envision it working well as an evening bag.

I made this smaller Spring themed purse with the bright pink lining to remind me that spring is a state of mind.

This is a smaller purse made with a tan canvas with dark brown polkadot lining.

I included several pockets inside to help with organizing personal belongings.

There are also a few pockets on the back to keep important things handy.

This bag is a bit smaller than my other purple one and is lined with violet and has violet straps. It still nice and spring-like. I love the butterfly button!
